Delivery retries

If a webhook delivery fails (any 4xx or 5xx response, a connection error, or a timeout), Birdeye retries it with exponential backoff.
  • Default: one retry, 1 second after the failure.
  • Configurable: set retryConfig when you subscribe:
    • maxRetries: 1 to 5 retries.
    • initialBackoffMs: 1 to 30000 ms before the first retry. The wait doubles on each retry (with jitter), capped at 30 seconds.
  • Duplicates: every retry sends the same payload with the same eventId. Your endpoint may receive an event more than once, so de-duplicate on eventId.
